The Clampett is a charmingly renovated, 18 foot, 1975 vintage Trophy travel trailer. Decorated in a cozy Americana theme with knotty pine wood and embellished metal cabinetry, the rustic details welcome you to enjoy a quintessential camping experience. The Clampett is a perfect vacation experience for the outdoor adventurer, nature lover, wine enthusiast, and for folks seeking peace and solitude from city living.

RATES & AVAILABILITY

The Clampett is such a unique and peaceful place to stay, so we wanted to offer it to friends and family within our shared music and nature-loving communities. The Clampett is available for private rentals. It is not listed on Airbnb, nor any other list serve. We hope that you will enjoy The Clampett, and if you do, please tell a friend.

TWO NIGHT MINIMUM GUEST STAY: At this time, there is a two night minimum guest stay.

Check-IN: 2 PM: Guests may check in any time, 2:00 PM or after. Please be courteous by not arriving early. Our cleaning service needs time to make The Clampett nice and tidy for you after the previous guests have checkout.

Check-Out: 11:00 AM: Guests may check out anytime, 11:00 AM or earlier. So that we can keep overhead costs low, thus passing that savings on to you by offering great rates, please be sure to leave The Clampett and grounds close to the way you found it. Please be sure to review the “Enjoying Your Stay” Guest Agreement upon your departure.

WEEKDAY STAY: $75 Per Night
Includes any weekday, Monday through Thursday

WEEKEND STAY: $95 Per Night Includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

AVAILABILITY: As we do not use online hotel calendar booking software, you’ll first need to confirm that the dates you’d like to stay are available. Please contact Jaye Crawford, your Happy Camper Specialist, directly, by text or call and she will check our reservations calendar. Upon confirmation that your chosen dates are available, you will be given a confirmation code to book your reservation online. Any online bookings must go through this process in order to book and pay for your stay.

PAYMENT DUE IN FULL UPON RESERVATION: The balance for each guest’s stay is due in full at the time of your online reservation. Online payments can be made via PayPal.

ENJOYING YOUR STAY

LOCATION:  The Clampett is located sixty five miles from downtown Atlanta – a straight shop up GA 400.

ADDRESS:  193 Hideaway Road, Dahlonega, Georgia  30533

GETTING THERE: Travelers headed north: Farmhouse Produce and BBQ, at the intersection of Copper Mines Road (GA-400 turns into Copper Mines Road) and GA-52, is a nearby land mark. The Clampett is five minutes north on GA-400. This is the last traffic light that you will see before reaching Hideaway Road.  Turn right onto Hideaway Road. The street sign post will be marked with reflectors and reflector tape.  The entry part of the road is paved up to the first house, then turns to a dirt road. Look for the first driveway on the left. You have arrived.

KEY: The key is located in a key box, located at the front porch of The Main House. Face the front door of The Main House, turn around, and you’ll see the key box on the porch’s right post. The key code will be emailed to you upon your reservation confirmation.

WHAT TO BRING:  The Clampett is fully furnished with most everything you’ll need for a pleasant stay. The only items that are not furnished are:

  • Towels & wash cloths
  • Food & spices
  • Charcoal, if you wish to grill

PETS:  Sorry, at this time, we do not allow pets.

WATER: The Clampett and property’s running water source is an underground well. If you are comfortable with well water, no need to bring water. Guests may also bring bottled water. The kitchen sink water comes through a camper hose. Guests should to let the water run through the hose a few minutes to release any air before cooking or drinking. Guests may also access water from the bathroom sink faucet.

RECYCLING & COMPOSTING:  Guests are invited to recycle. The recycle bin is located under The Main House’s covered front door area. We recycle metal, glass, plastic, mixed paper, aluminum, and cardboard.  Guests my compost kitchen scraps in the wire mesh compost bin located at the bottom of The Main House’s back yard steps. The steps are located at the front door area. Please do not compost dairy, meat, or seafood. Egg shells are fine.

FIREPIT:  Nothing provides relaxation and tranquility quite like a family campfire. The fire pit is located in front of The Clampett. The fire wood is located under the covered front porch of The Main House. The fire pit comes with a grill grate. Guests will need to bring charcoal if you wish to grill. Upon departure, please place any fire pit ash in the ash can and cover with lid. Please leave the fire pit turned over so that it won’t collect rain water and rust out upon your departure.

BURN BAN:  Occasionally, during dry conditions, Lumpkin county may issue a burn ban. Before lighting a camp fire in the fire pit, please be sure to check the Lumpkin county web site at lumpkincounty.gov to ensure that there is not a burn ban in place. Please do not burn a camp fire during a burn ban.

NEARBY GAS & FOOD: The nearest gas station is located next to Farmhouse Produce on GA-52, five minutes from The Clampett. For food, Farmhouse produce does have a kitchen with various country food items. As for the nearest place to purchase groceries, we recommend the Dawsonville Kroger. It’s the perfect place to stock up on the drive in. It is fifteen miles south of The Clampett on GA-400. The other nearest full-size grocery store is Fresh ’n Low, located at 406 East Main Street in downtown Dahlonega.. We also recommend Wholesome Earth, an independently-owned health food store, located at 565 East Main Street.  Both stores are a fifteen minute drive from The Clampett.

SAFETY: For your safety, The Clampett is furnished with smoke detectors. There is a fire extinguisher located in the cabinet under the kitchen sink. Please do not place space heaters near cloth. Please do not leave the fire pit unattended at any time. Please be sure that all hot embers are put out or doused with water after each fire. There is a garden hose located at the bottom of the driveway. In case of any emergency, please call 911.

UPON DEPARTURE CHECKLIST:  Here is a quick check list to review upon your departure:

  • Collect any trash from the property.
  • Empty Clampett and bathroom trash cans.
  • Dispose of trash in the herbie curbie located at the top of the driveway. 
  • Place all recyclables in recycle bin.
  • Place key back in key box.

CLEANING SERVICE & EXTRA CLEANING FEES:  We kindly ask our guests, please be courteous and leave The Clampett close to the condition that you found it.in. Our cleaning service is hired and prepared to preform a basic cleaning upon your departure. This includes wiping down all surfaces, making beds, washing the floor, and cleaning the bathroom. Any additional cleaning service fees that we incur outside of this “normal scope of work” will be passed directly onto the departing guest in the form of an invoice mailed via email.

DAMAGES:  Any significant damages to the property or to The Clamped will be the responsibility of the guest. Upon repair or replacement of any damaged item(s), the guest will receive a detailed invoice by email.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY: If you have a sheer emergency, please call  911.  If you have an emergency that involves the property, such as a power outage, please call Geoff Hohwald at 404.218.8580.
